The CCCM International Monitoring Board

Primary Functions

The primary function of the International Monitoring Board (IMB) is to take responsibility for the feasibility, project development and implementation, and the achievement of outcomes of the Project Curiosity Center Children’s Museum (CCCM). The CCCM IMB will monitor and review the project status, as well as provide oversight of the project deliverable rollout. The IMB provides a stabilizing influence so organizational concepts and directions are established and maintained with a visionary view.  The IMB provides insight on long-term strategies in support of legislative mandates. Members of the IMB ensure project objectives are being adequately addressed and the project remains under control. In practice these responsibilities are carried out by performing the following functions:
• Monitoring and review of the project at regular IMB meetings;
• Providing assistance to the project when required;
• Controlling project scope as emergent issues force changes to be considered, ensuring that scope aligns with the agreed project requirements of donors and key stakeholder groups;
• Resolving project conflicts and disputes, reconciling differences of opinion and approach;
• Formal acceptance of project deliverables.

Approval Responsibilities

The IMB is responsible for approving major project elements such as:
• Prioritization of objectives and outcomes as identified in the project;
• Deliverables as identified in the project;
• Budget, ensuring that effort, expenditures and changes are appropriate to the expectations and according to the market circumstances;
• Schedule;
• Risk management strategies, ensuring that strategies to address potential threats to the project’s success have been identified, estimated and approved, and that the threats are regularly re-assessed;
• Project management and quality assurance practices.

Ms. Renne Traicova MPA/MAis Co-Founder and CEO of the Initiative for Social Empowerment (ISE)–a newly established international organization that helps women and youth get out of poverty through technology, education and entrepreneurship. She is also the co-founder of the Indiana University’s McLoskey Fund and has more than 13 years of experience in designing and managing international development, democratization and election programmes in Washington, D.C. and Eastern Europe. Renne teaches at Link Campus University in Rome and has served in senior management roles with the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) and with the National Democratic Institute (NDI). She has been a passionate believer in women’s empowerment and has worked with women of all walks of life to help them achieve their full potential. Renne has a BA degree in Political Science from Purdue University and an MPA/MA in Public Finance and Russian and East European Studies from Indiana University.



Ana Teasdale MA, has over 16 years of experience in international development having worked at Pangaea Global AIDS (Pangaea), Susan G. Komen (Komen), Catholic Relief Services (CRS), and at the National Democratic Institute for International Affairs (NDI).  At Pangaea she provided senior counsel to Pangaea’s CEO and Leadership Team on new and existing programs and strategies. At Komen Ana oversaw international community outreach grants and several global initiatives in Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East to encourage breast cancer awareness, screening and treatment. At CRS she supported CRS’ field offices in the Middle East and Southeast Asia through strategic planning, training workshops, proposal development, and evaluations.  At NDI she helped develop the Institute’s political party, civil society, and parliamentary programs in Eastern Europe by collaborating with various political stakeholders.  Ana holds a BA in international relations and an MA in international communications with a focus on international development, both from the American University in Washington, D.C. 


  Ms. Tatjana Popovic MA, is a director of Nansen Dialogue Centre Serbia. She is also an experienced trainer within the conflict transformation field. Over the last 15 years, she facilitated a number of inter-ethnic training workshops in the Western Balkans and coordinated the long-term dialogue process in the South Serbia, thus contributing to the reconciliation process between ethnic groups living in the region. She has mastered training skills on Dialogue, Conflict Analysis Tools, Negotiation, Mediation and Creation of Strategies for Change. Tatjana holds an MA in Peace Studies at the Faculty of Political Sciences, University of Belgrade. Work with international groups enriched her experience, at Responding to Conflict UK, at the Centre for Conflict Management, Kazakhstan and at The Nansen Academy in Lillehammer, Norway. Tatjana is a Co-editor of three practice books, the latest is Education for Peace, Experiences from practice, NDC Serbia, 2013. 


Mr. Lazar Maricevic PhD, is born in Belgrade in 1969. Civic and social activist from his student days. From the beginning of his career engaged in the work of different NGOs. Since 1998 he has been working at the Belgrade Open School. Three years later he founded Center for Development of Serbia promoting the values of democracy and entrepreneurship, implementing over 40 projects till this day. Professionally, he is engaged as a consultant in the field of human resources, strategic planning, and organizational development. Graduated at Psychology Department, Faculty of Philosophy, at the University of Belgrade, where he got his MA title. Holds PhD from the Faculty of Political Sciences in Belgrade. Published two books “Self Esteem and Authoritarianism” and “Psychology of Political Leaders”, and a dozen of publications in the field of democracy, democratic institutions, monitoring of public and local administration, support to the entrepreneurship and employment. Presenter, author and producer of TV Series “I Want to Know” broadcasted at Serbian national television RTS.
